Sun Country’s Change Fee Waiver

The Sun Country Change Fee Waiver lets you change your flight booking once without paying a fee. You can cancel your flight and get a credit for future travel instead. You can choose this option anytime between 59 days and 1 hour before your flight takes off, and you won’t have to pay any extra fees. You can buy the Change Fee Waiver when you book certain flights directly on Sun Country’s website, travel agent portal, or customer service. Everyone on the booking needs to buy it, and you can’t get your money back if you change your mind. You can only use it one time.

24-Hour Cancellation Policy

If you book your ticket at least 7 days (178 hours) before your flight, you can cancel your flight/itinerary within 24 hours of booking under Sun Country’s 24-hour cancellation policy. If you cancel your ticket within 24 hours, you will get a full refund, no matter what type of ticket you have. 

If you cancel your flight within 24 hours of booking, you can get a refund only if you booked regular airfare. This policy does not apply to group bookings, tour bookings, Sun Country Vacation package bookings, land products, and other non-air products and activities.

Sun Country Airlines Refund Policy

Sun Country’s policy for flight cancellations states that eligible tickets will be refunded in the following manner: 

  • If you bought your ticket using a credit card and ask for a refund with all the necessary documents, you will get your refund within 7 days. If you paid with cash or check, it will take up to 20 days to process your refund.  
  • If you’re eligible for a refund, you’ll get it in the same way you paid for your purchase. If Flight Credits are applicable, you may receive them instead. 
  • Refunds that are discretionary will be processed within the time frames mentioned above, either fully or partially.
